Standard & Poor’s confirms A+ rating

with “stable” outlook

The rating agency Standard & Poor's has confirmed its “A+” rating with a “stable” outlook for the Deutsche Rückversicherung Group. The rating encompasses both Deutsche Rückversicherung AG in Düsseldorf and Deutsche Rückversicherung Schweiz AG (DR Swiss) with registered office in Zurich.

According to Standard & Poor’s, Deutsche Rück has an extremely strong capital base and a secure earnings situation, supported by a conservative reserving policy. In this context, and given Deutsche Rück’s unique competitive position as one of the leading reinsurers in its home market, the rating agency expects the good performance to continue and has confirmed the “A+” rating and stable outlook.

“We have considerably strengthened our earnings position thanks to a continuing positive development in our business,” said Dr Arno Junke, CEO of the Deutsche Rückversicherung Group. “The confirmation of the ‘A+’ rating combined with a stable outlook is therefore in line with our expectations.”
