Düsseldorf, 24 March 2020 – The worldwide spread of coronavirus is currently having a major impact on the economy and public life. Deutsche Rück supports the measures adopted by politicians and authorities to slow the spread of infection. Since 12 March, all employees at the Düsseldorf headquarters and many at the Zurich office have been using mobile resources to work from home. Deutsche Rück has not recorded any noticeable impact on its business operations.
“Protecting our staff and our business partners is our number one priority,” says Frank Schaar, CEO of Deutsche Rück. He adds that Deutsche Rück is very well prepared for mobile working as far as technology and processes are concerned.
“Each day, our staff are learning more about how to deal with the new challenges in their professional and private lives,” he says. He stresses that everything possible is being done to provide clients and business partners with the service they have come to expect, but asks for understanding in case things should go a little less smoothly.
